It’s hard out there at the moment. I am concerned those leaving education, those who have recently left, who however keen upon leaving are finding it increasingly difficult to find employment. More apprenticeships and career options/skills are needed and existing county schemes need better financial support.
Concerns of the unemployed, retraining opportunities, re-employment of those over fifty are issues we must address.
ECONOMIC GROWTH
The county has many small to medium size businesses, most are suffering from the effects of the recession and funding problems. It is essential that care is given to protect them and the jobs they provide and support for growth. Ensure early access to superfast broadband across the region.
ROADS & FOOTPATHS
Urgent repairs need to be implemented after the recent bad weather, the roads in the county are suffering badly from potholes which are dangerous. Support the Norwich Northern Distributor Road allowing better access to the A11 and A47 form North Walsham and surrounding villages.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Ensure quality and price conscious systems run efficiently and frequently. The Bittern Line trains run more frequently and have more seats available during peak times.
PARKING
Lobby for free car parking in town centres to allow retailers to compete on a more level playing field with the big supermarkets and retail parks thus helping to extend the life span of high street retailing.
HEALTHCARE
With an increasing aging population, ensure futures will be able to cope with the rising demands and that quality of care does not drop in standard but seeks to continually improve..

Ensure the site will be developed to its full potential and in consideration of those living in the area.
